Stela of luny

Stela of luny - showing Chief Physician Huy, in the lower register, being offered incense from his son the physician Khaemwaset.
(19th Dynasty, Louvre, c89)
Several stela show sons following the profession of their fathers and according to Diodorus Siculus, Greek historian, this was the case for the medical profession too. This stela provides a good example of this. Here Huy's name is caused to live through his son the swnw (physician) Khaemwaset.
